Ask you Idiot
I can't stress this enough but sometimes really cool things happen when you are bold enough to ask.
When Steve Jobs was 12 years old, he picked up the phone and called Bill Hewlett of Hewlett-Packard with a simple request, "Do you have any spare computer parts, and if so, could Jobs have them? For free?"
Hewlett laughed at first. The audaciousness of this kid! Then he said okay.
You don't always need to ask for help, it could be for ideas, insights, feedback, or anything that jumps at you and you know that this person can really shine some light on this.
I have so many people in my life who I found this way. A bestselling author once gave feedback to my essay. A famous Twitter personality agreed to get on a call with me and then sponsored an expensive writing course for me. A famous YouTuber once validated my idea and made me believe that I could do this.
I had these exceptional moments because I was on a spree of collecting rejection or ignored emails. One thing I can vouch for is my every letter since childhood and email in the later stage is always filled with excitement that resonates.
So, be bold. Be humble. Be excited in your ask.
